Adoption of a Two and One-half Percent (2.5% local Sales and Use Tax within the city of Lewisville, whereas the City as determined that the current one percent (1%) sales and use tax is insufficient to meet the demands of city operations due to inflation and escalating costs of all goods and services. The sales and use tax shall be levied and collected only on the first $2,500.00 for each single transaction.
